Kitchener: the Boathouse, and coming soon: Matter of Taste, Coffee Culture, Museum Cafe (will be licensed), the whole front of the market (that concrete pad), the Hive, Taco Delight has an awesome roof-top patio (such a hidden and perfect little restaurant, and the patio really is great), the pita place... um... New York pita maybe, I second Classicos has a GREAT patio, Crabby Joes downtown is a fabulous patio...

Waterloo: Seven Shores has to be quite possibly the most quaint patio in Waterloo. Barley Works is only ok when summer isn't beating down and making the dumpsters below stench up the place. UW Grad House patio is amazing, Sabletine sets up a few tables outside, looks also like someone in the Bauer Loft complex is going to have some outdoorsy goodness.

I am sure I will think of more.

Sole (behind the Seagram Lofts in Waterloo) has a nice patio and I believe it has heaters.

Marbles (King and William) has a very pleasant patio, although sometimes there are bees.

Also in uptown, Rude Native has a good patio, and they have drinks specials sometimes.

But I agree that the Huether's second floor is the best.

Oh YES! Bomber patio rocks! Although has the construction most likely makes it a bad choice this summer.

Bauer Kitchen also appears to have a patio. It's a new place, so can't comment on it for now. Jane Bond also has a tiny little patio, but it's the greatest triumph if you score a seat there since it seats about 4 people. :)

I second CJ's comment about Barleyworks (2nd floor of Heuther) -- by far the best patio in Waterloo.

Also noteworthy: McGinnis Front Row and Mongolian Grill (both in University Plaza), the Bombshelter (on campus but still a great patio), Symposium (out the back), City Cafe Bakery (just for lunch -- small but good!)... I'll let you know if I think of more!

The Boathouse has a patio, and it's facing the right way.... If you find looking at Victoria Park's dirty water more pleasing than traffic. Going there now myself. As for blog worthy restaurants, have you tried Classico's on Ontario street? There's also The Art Bar inside inside Centre in the Square (if you haven't blogged it already) only open until May 2010 might want to blog it before its too late ;)
